…Slams Akpabio, Opeyemi for Presiding Over Senate Charade Despite Past Flaws

ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Professor of political economist, and business consultant, Pat Utomi has charged the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to call out lawyers in the senate for being judges in their own case against Sen Natasha; for judgment without fair hearing and for abusing the rights of the people of Kogi who elected her; and for presuming they are her employees who can stop her pay.
Utomi who views the treatment meted to Senator Natasha as impunity, also slammed the Senate President Godswill Akpabio whom he said acted worse under the leadership of Bukola Saraki and Senator Bamidele Opeyemi whose expulsion from UNIBEN was rescinded on account of absence of fairing, in litigation championed by Femi Falana SAN, can preside over the charade ongoing in the Senate
In his words when he took to his X account handle, Utomi said in part:
“It is interesting that Sen Akpabio who acted worse under Saraki , and Opeyemi Bamidele, whose expulsion from UNIBEN was rescinded on account of absence of fairing, in litigation championed by FFalana SAN, can preside over the charade ongoing in the Senate
“I whole heartedly endorse the move of Peter Agbontaen and the public accountability cohort of thenewtribe to initiate a recall of all the Senators. Please sign their petitions as they come your way.”
Irked by the fact that the priorities of the senate does not reflect the harsh economic situation facing the greater population of the people, Utomi emphasized that what is the more troubling is that at a time of much uncertainty at the global level, depressing misery at the national level when leaders should be consumed by how to build that developmental state coalition, the Senate is extending its ways of impunity into the realm of the frivolous
