ABUJA- The National Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (NEMSAS) has called on Nigerians to prioritise safety during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, particularly while travelling and attending public gatherings.
Dr Emuren Doubra, National Programme Manager of NEMSAS, made the call in a Sallah message issued on Friday in Abuja.
Doubra congratulated Muslims and all Nigerians on the successful completion of Ramadan, describing the season as one that embodied sacrifice, compassion, discipline, and service to humanity.
He noted that the values associated with Eid-el-Fitr aligned with the core mandate of NEMSAS in delivering timely and quality emergency medical services across the country.
“As we celebrate, I urge all citizens to remain safety-conscious, especially during travels and public gatherings, and to continue supporting efforts aimed at strengthening our healthcare system,” he said.
The NEMSAS coordinator also prayed for peace, unity, and prosperity in Nigeria, expressing hope that the blessings of the season would positively impact the nation.
“We pray that the Almighty Allah accepts our acts of worship and blesses our dear country with peace, unity, and prosperity,” he said.(NAN)
