ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Presidential aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023, Dele Momodu has launched a scathing critique of what he describes as growing hypocrisy among some of President Bola Tinubu’s recent supporters, accusing them of flip-flopping and engaging in opportunistic praise after previously attacking the President with “unprintable words.”
In a strongly worded remarks released via his X handle on Wednesday, Mr Momodu expressed shock at the “level of hypocrisy” displayed by individuals now singing the President’s praises, despite their past record of fierce opposition and personal attacks.

“I’m shocked at the level of hypocrisy that could make a man eat his own vomit,” he said. “These praise-singers, now crying louder than the bereaved, once used uncouth and blistering language against Tinubu. I still shudder at the sheer depravity they descended into, and now pretend none of it ever happened.”
Reaffirming his commitment to speaking truth to power, the commentator declared that Nigeria is under what he calls a “civilian dictatorship” and stressed that constructive criticism should be directed at all leaders, not just political opponents.
“I stand gidigba by my opinion that what we have now is civilian dictatorship,” he said. “Being civil and decent doesn’t mean being silent. Leadership must be held accountable at all times.”

He also warned that political reinvention by former critics-turned-supporters should not be mistaken for genuine loyalty or forgotten by the Nigerian people.
“Some of these born-again supporters think Tinubu has forgotten what they did or that we all suffer from collective amnesia,” he said. “But I place Nigeria above other considerations. That remains my guiding principle.”
Precise Post highlights that this remarks underscore ongoing tensions within the political class, as the Tinubu administration continues to face both praise and pushback in equal measure ahead of 2027 presidential election.
