Group under the auspices of Isoko Progress Forum (IPF) has endorsed the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege as the right and suitable candidate to be the next governor of Delta State.
The IPF in a statement signed by Dr. Goodie Omuyeh and Dr. Prosper Ahworegba, National Coordinator and Secretary General respectively, said that his endorsement was predicated on his pedigree, honest, and pragmatic insight into the State’s problems and needs which are unequaled as well as his willingness to examine the issues and listen closely to the public’s questions and concerns which also set him far apart from the other candidates.
The statement reads in part:
Since the statewide political campaigns commenced some months ago, we at Isoko Progress Forum (IPF), an association of intellectuals and business professionals of Isoko ethnic background have observed and evaluated the perspectives and agenda of the various candidates in the upcoming election.
We have also examined their past including education, professions, leadership qualities, and how they have impacted their respective communities.
Therefore, we have come to the conclusion that the Deputy President of the Senate (DPS) Ovie Omo-Agege is a great candidate. His pedigree, honest, and pragmatic insight into our State’s problems and needs are unequaled. Furthermore, his willingness to examine the issues and listen closely to the public’s questions and concerns set him far apart from the other candidates.
Additionally, IPF has observed that Senator Omo-Agege is genuinely committed to promoting fairness, social justice, and equity in the state. He has the qualities, comportment, carriage, and demeanor to be Governor of Delta State.
Therefore, IPF hereby fully endorses his candidacy in the belief and hope that our Isoko nation which has been unfairly treated by successive governments in the State will not be left behind in his government.
, We hereby express our support for his campaign and urge all Deltans in general, and Isoko people in particular, wherever they are domiciled, at home or abroad, to vote en mass for DPS Omo-Agege as Governor during the upcoming election.
