Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), citing the developmental interests of Adamawa State as his motivation.
Announcing the move during a statewide broadcast on Friday, Fintiri confirmed that members of his cabinet, along with PDP officials across the state, joined him in the defection.
The governor said the decision followed thorough consultations and careful planning, aimed at boosting development and improving governance outcomes. He emphasized that joining the APC would enhance collaboration with the Federal Government, unlocking greater infrastructural and economic opportunities for Adamawa.
