AbdulYekeen Ademola Santos, a former official member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South West region, is dead. The demise of the prominent figure within the party in Oyo State was confirmed in a statement issued by the Chairman of the House Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity, Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide. Ademola Santos passed away at the age of 75. In the news released on Saturday, Olajide, who represents the Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, expressed his condolences on behalf of the party members in the state. Cyberstalking: Ebonyi PDP chieftain remanded in prison

An Abakiliki Chief Magistrates’ court on Tuesday remanded a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, Mrs Chinyere Nwele for alleged Cyberstalking. Nwele, 47, a social media critic was arraigned before a presiding Chief Magistrate Linda Ogodo on two-count charge. Edo governorship primary: Shaibu confident of victory in court

ABUJA (SUNDIATA POST)- Impeached Deputy Governor of Edo, Mr Philip Shaibu, said on Tuesday that would challenge the emergence of Asue Ighodalo as PDP candidate for the upcoming state election to the highest judicial level. A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had on Monday dismissed a suit filed by the Shaibu seeking to nullify the Feb. 22 governorship primary of the PDP the produced Ighodalo as its candidate. Justice James Omotosho, in the judgment, held that Shaibu lacked the legal right to challenge the outcome of the primary on the grounds that he did not fully participate in the exercise. Omotosho also held that the impeached deputy governor was not equally present at the venue of the primary the day it was held. ABIA- Gov. Alex Otti of Abia has said that he initiated forensic audit of the State Government’s account to recover stolen government funds and not to witch-hunt anyone. ONDO- Ahead of the governorship election of Ondo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said its major hurdle is getting back to power from the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.  Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the chair of the PDP’s Primary Election Committee, disclosed this on Thursday at the party’s ongoing primary in Akure.  “The problem of our party is how to get the power back from the APC that had been taken power from us for the past eight years,” Mr Ewhrudjakpo said. Former Senate spokesperson Eze passes away at 66

A former Senate spokesperson, Ayogu Eze died at age 66. Eze, who represented the Enugu North Senatorial District between 2007 and 2015, passed away on Thursday in an Abuja hospital after suffering from an undisclosed illness. Eze, who is also one of the founding members of the Peoples Democratic Party, was confirmed by the Senate in May 2023 as a federal Commissioner for Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission. Bandit Violence Claims PDP Secretary’s Life in Tsafe, Zamfara

Gunmen believed to be armed bandits have killed Musa Ille, the secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The bandits shot Musa dead in front of his residence in Tsafe town on Monday evening.
