Abuja (Precise Post) – Former President Olusegun Obasanjo allegedly countered President Muhammadu Buhari during their virtual meeting on Friday after the latter claimed that the protests were turning violent.
Disclosing this when he took to his twitter handle account, Femi Fani-Kayode said “Obasanjo countered by telling him that the protests were peaceful until sponsored and violent thugs and hoodlums turned on the protesters and started attacking them”.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari presided over virtual “Council of State” meeting yesterday where past Nigerian leaders took part.
The former leaders that took part in the virtual meeting are : Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan, Ernest Shonekan, Yakubu Gowon, Abdulsalam Abubakar and Ibrahim Babangida.
Others present are the Inspector General of Police, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff, Chief of Defence Staff, Defence Minister, DG Department of Security Services, DG Nigeria Intelligence Agency, Secretary to the Government of the Federation among others.
