Football Whistleblower: Portuguese Rui Pinto Released to House Arrest

Budapest (Precise Post) – Football whistleblower Rui Pinto has been released into house arrest while awaiting trial, media reports citing justice authorities in his native Portugal said on Thursday.

Report says Pinto is linked to the Football Leaks portal.

According to reports, he faces various charges in connection with the information he leaked on financial dealings of European football clubs, including blackmail.

Football Leaks also exposed alleged plans for a European Super League.

The 31-year-old was arrested in Budapest in January and subsequently, extradited to Portugal.
