LAFIA – Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has commended the Department of State Service (DSS) for nabbing three suspected kidnappers and rescuing a victim in the state.
Sule gave the commendation in a statement on Friday in Lafiya by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra.
The governor explained that one of the suspects was apprehended at the criminals’ hideout at Atabula in Duduguru, a community in Obi Local Government Area while two others were tracked down at a hotel in Lafia.
He said that the security operatives equally burnt down the makeshift camp of the criminals and recovered large amounts of money and five mobile phones among others.
Sule described the arrests as a demonstration of the effectiveness and dedication of the security agencies and urged them to sustain the momentum and remain resolute in the fight against criminal elements.
He assured the security agencies in the state of the continued support of his administration in fulfilling their responsibilities to ensure that the state continues to remain one of the safest in the country.
The governor also appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and provide timely, credible and useful information to security agencies, stressing that collective vigilance and cooperation are essential to maintaining peace and security in the state. (NAN).
