….Reaffirms Commitment to Housing Development

ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Governor of Bayelsa State, Duoye Diri on Tuesday conducted an inspection of several ongoing housing projects in Yenagoa, showcasing the progress of key initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and housing for residents.
During the visit, the Governor toured the New Yenagoa City, where the construction of the new Commissioners’ and Legislators’ Quarters, a major project initiated by the current administration, is nearing completion. These quarters are among the signature projects set to be inaugurated during the Governor’s 5th anniversary celebration in February.
Diri disclosed this when he took to his official X account on Tuesday shortly after he completed the inspection.
With significant road construction taking place within the New Yenagoa City, the Governor highlighted the ongoing transformation of the area into a well-planned, modern city.
Governor Diri also visited the Okaka housing estate, where the administration is working to complete abandoned housing units intended for civil servants. Emphasizing that housing remains a key priority in his second term, he expressed satisfaction with the quality and speed of work at various sites, signaling that more housing projects will be pursued vigorously.
The Governor’s inspection underscores the state’s continued commitment to delivering affordable and quality housing for its citizens.
