ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –   Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno has reiterated his administration’s commitment to transparency and meritocracy in the ongoing recruitment into the State Civil Service.

Speaking during the State’s Monthly Prayer Service, the governor revealed that while over 15,000 applications were received, only 3,000 candidates will be employed, strictly through a computer-based test that delivers immediate results.

He Disclosed this on his verified X handle on Saturday shortly after the monthly prayer.

“There are no slots, and there is no favouritism,” the governor emphasized, underscoring his zero-tolerance stance on political interference and backdoor employment practices.

Also, in a bid to assess ongoing infrastructure and development efforts, Governor Eno disclosed that he had inspected 23 projects across the state in the past two days.

He praised the strong presence of young professionals, engineers, artisans, and female project leaders actively involved in the work, calling it a reflection of the work ethic Akwa Ibom must continue to uphold.

“As I moved across project sites, I was inspired by the energy and professionalism of our youths. This is the spirit we must embrace: more hard work,” he said.

Beyond employment and infrastructure, the governor also announced that the third phase of food distribution for vulnerable households will commence on August 20th, as part of efforts to support families amid economic challenges.

“Akwa Ibom is moving forward, and by God’s grace, we will not disappoint,” he added.
