Abuja (Precise Post) – The newly inaugurated board member of Volleyball federation from North East, DCP Stephen Hasso has promised a better Volleyball federation led by Engr Musa Niimirod.
The new board member laid down plans of what is expected of North East region and the developmental plans ahead to grow the game of Volleyball over there.
There are plans to develop Volleyball academy from age grade down to adult stage that would form part of national teams. And also to make efforts to see that a team at least from the the North East makes it to the premier league as part of the progress.
“It is a big task for us. This time around we are not coming to board for playing sake but business minded. We are going to create awareness of Volleyball from the grassroots, provide essential academy for the youths.
An academy that will be from the kids to middle age to the senior age that could play for national teams. Secondly the North East of the federation where the president comes from don’t have a team at the premier league, it is part of our intention to see that happens hopefully.
The new volleyball federation board is all out to develop the game in all areas. It is not the era of leaving it to one person. We, the board members, must work together and contribute to the central board and project Volleyball.
