ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.), Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, has reaffirmed his commitment to building robust partnerships with key stakeholders to effectively implement the strategic vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
Ojulari made this known during a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, on Wednesday. The meeting underscored a unified drive towards transformative reforms and improved performance across the sector, the statement by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPC Ltd., Olufemi Soneye said.
Addressing the Minister, Ojulari emphasized that his leadership team is entering office with a collaborative spirit and a strong determination to make a meaningful impact. He stressed that synergy with critical government institutions, including the Ministry of Petroleum and the Ministry of Finance, will be essential to overcoming bureaucratic hurdles and delivering tangible results.
“We are here with a mindset of partnership—partnership with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, with the Ministry of Finance, and with all other critical stakeholders. Our goal is to bridge gaps, foster alignment, and move forward with a united front. Antagonism benefits no one; collaboration is how we win,” Ojulari stated.
In his remarks, Senator Lokpobiri expressed confidence in the capabilities of the new NNPC leadership, describing it as possibly the strongest executive team the company has assembled. He urged the team to convert its reputation into real-world outcomes, particularly in raising crude oil production and optimizing value delivery to Nigerians.
“This is arguably the strongest leadership team NNPC Ltd. has ever assembled,” the Minister noted. “Now is the time to translate that reputation into measurable results.”
He assured the GCEO of his full support and pledged to provide a conducive environment for NNPC Ltd. to thrive, emphasizing the Ministry’s readiness to offer strategic direction and collaborate closely with the company’s leadership.
The meeting marks the beginning of a renewed era for Nigeria’s oil and gas industry—anchored on collaboration, accountability, and national development.
