ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – In reaction to the loud public outcry over President Bola Tinubu’s refusal to cut short his foreign trip over the senseless killing of innocent men, women and children in Nigeria, particularly the recent killings is Plateau State, the Presidency has assured Nigerians that President Tinubu continues to oversee national affairs despite his current stay in Europe.
According to a statement released on his X account on Thursday, April 17, 2025, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President remains fully engaged in governance while temporarily away from the country.
“Tinubu, who traveled from Paris to London over the weekend, is in constant communication with top government officials and has been issuing directives, including to security chiefs, on pressing national issues.”
“His return to Abuja is scheduled to follow the conclusion of the Easter holiday, and his absence is in line with the previously communicated two-week timeframe.”
“The President’s commitment to his duties remains unwavering, and his administration continues to function effectively under his leadership,” Onanuga stated.
The Presidency also expressed appreciation for the public’s concern, assuring citizens that governance remains uninterrupted.
