ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, calling on them to pray for peace, stability, and the continued progress of the country.
In a Sallah message issued on Wednesday signed by Levinus Nwabughiogu, the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Kalu urged Nigerians to reflect on the lessons of Eid-el-Kabir, particularly sacrifice, obedience, and faith, and allow them to guide their daily lives.
The Deputy Speaker also appealed to citizens to show compassion and generosity to one another, especially to the poor, vulnerable, and less privileged members of society.
He further called on Nigerians to offer prayers for wisdom and guidance for leaders at all levels of government, stressing the need for unity and patriotism in nation-building.
“Let us rise above divisions, put Nigeria first, and work together in unity for a prosperous and secure nation,” he said.
Kalu also wished Muslim faithful across the country a joyful and blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
