Makinde/Fayose face off: PDP moves venue of South West Congress to Osun

Abuja (Precise Post) – The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has moved the venue of the South West Congress to Oshogbo, the Osun State capital after extensive discussion and failed attempt to resolve the .

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan who disclosed this via his official twitter handle, also announced that the South West Congress is scheduled for Monday, April 12, 2021.

The PDP therefore assured of working with all to achieve a seamless and unifying congress.

Precise Post recalls that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP has organised a South West meeting towards to settle the leadership problems between the Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde and former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose ahead of its zonal congresses.

This is part of efforts by the NWC to scaled up processes in the South West, the committee resolved that a meeting comprising of the national chairman, deputy national chairman, national secretary, Sen. Bukola Saraki-led and Gov. Seyi Makinde and former Gov. Ayo Fayose, be held immediately for urgent resolution of all issues concerning the South West.
