Washington (Precise Post) – United States President-elect, Joe Biden has said that the next four years of his administration must be the restoration of democracy and the recovery of respect for the rule of law.
Joe Biden who awaits his swearing-in on the 20th of January as the 46th United States President, also said it would be a period of the renewal of a politics that’s about solving problems — not stoking the flames of hate and chaos.
He disclosed this via his twitter handle account and tweeted:
“The work of the next four years must be the restoration of democracy and the recovery of respect for the rule of law, and the renewal of a politics that’s about solving problems — not stoking the flames of hate and chaos.”
Precise Post recalls that Joe Biden defeated the incumbent President Donald Trump in the November 3 Presidential election in United States.
However, Trump refused to acknowledge defeat but instead accused Joe Biden and his party of rigging; describing the election as the worst riiged election in the history of American democracy.
This led to protest by the pro-Trump group who stormed U.S. Capitol building in what was described as as a coup attempt to overturn his defeat at a time when the Congress was in the midst of convening to certify President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 elections.
There has been no evidence to support the president’s false claims of rampant voter fraud, and in fact his own Department of Homeland Security described the election as the “most secure” in U.S. history.
