Abuja (Precise Post) – Palestinian Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Ahmed El-Kachach has said Nigeria will overcome security challenges facing her at the moment in no distant future.

His Excellency said his conviction is predicated on the fact that Nigeria had overcome more difficult situations than this in the past.

El-Kachach stated this on Thursday while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after he was honoured with “The Icon of Charity And Humanitarian Service” award by the National Union of Northern Nigeria Students, (NUNNS) in collaboration with the Nigerian Council for Self and Unemployed Graduates (NCSUG), Federation of Muslim Women in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Dorcas Women Care and Aid Foundation (DOWCAF) and the World Prince of Peace Movement (WPPM).

The Ambassador urged Nigerians to unite against terrorism and insecurity in the true Nigerian spirit and overcome the twin evils rearing their ugly heads.

According to the Palestinian envoy, Nigeria is a strong country that have overcome more difficult problems and challenges in the past than the present insecurity facing it. The country has the capacity and what it takes to overcome the challenge and God will see her through.

In his words: “Terrorism is a global phenomenon, so Nigeria is not alone in it but talking from experience; Nigeria has the capacity to defeat the insurgence.

He therefore advised that Nigerians should unite together and always see themselves as Nigerians and avoid those fault lines that are capable of dividing them and as such; the bond among citizens will strengthened and things will naturally fall in place in the country.

According to him, “I know that Nigeria is a strong country, no matter the recent security challenges Nigeria government will surely overcome it, Nigeria has overcome bigger challenges than this in the past.“But one thing I will like to say is that Nigerians should unite together, especially now that the country is facing security challenges so that together they can defeat the enemies of the country.

Earlier before the award presentation, the National President of NUNNS, Comrade Ako Francis thanked the Envoy for the cordial bilateral relationship between Palestine and Nigeria which was also part of the reason why President Muhammadu Buhari supported Palestine in the U.S Assembly.
