Abuja (PRECISE POST)  – The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has issued a public warning against fraudulent individuals and entities falsely claiming to represent the organization.

The company particularly urged foreign investors and international business entities to exercise heightened caution. Anyone approached under suspicious circumstances is advised to report the incident to the relevant authorities immediately.

According to a statement signed by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye released on the official X account handle of the Company, these impostors have been soliciting fees from unsuspecting individuals and businesses under the pretense of arranging meetings with NNPC’s Board of Directors, Executives, and Senior Management. NNPC emphasized that such activities are both unauthorized and illegal.

“All legitimate engagements with NNPC Limited are conducted strictly through official channels or designated business units,” the statement read.

NNPC reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, integrity, and the protection of stakeholders in all its dealings. Members of the public are encouraged to stay vigilant and share this alert to help combat fraud.
