ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Federal lawmaker representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has paid a condolence visit to former Rivers State Governor and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, following the death of his mother.
Kalu announced the visit on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
Kalu, who described Amaechi as “a dear brother and friend,” visited him at his residence to personally convey his sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family during their period of grief.
Reflecting on the profound pain of losing a mother, the former Abia governor said the loss was one of the most difficult experiences anyone could endure, adding that he joined the Amaechi family in mourning while offering prayers for God’s comfort and strength.
“I paid a condolence visit today to my dear brother and friend, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, at his residence following the passing of his beloved mother,” Kalu stated.
He extended his heartfelt condolences, assuring the family of his prayers and unwavering support as they navigate the painful moment.
Kalu prayed that Almighty God would grant the deceased eternal rest and bless the entire Amaechi family with the fortitude to bear what he described as an irreparable loss.
He concluded his message with a prayer for the peaceful repose of the departed matriarch, saying, “May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
