ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – President Bola Tinubu has said that he views the palliative stampede that led to the death of over 90 persons in Lagos, Anambra and Abuja as a grave error.

Tinubu stated this on Saturday during the 2024 presidential media chat that took place in his private residence in Lagos state.

The president who was asked to react to the stampede that took place in Lagos, Anambra and Abuja said it can be viewed in two ways – humanitarian (gesture) angle or the death side. It is a good gesture to want to extend arms to the less privileged but it was very sad that people were not organised which led to the death of some people. My condolences to the families that lost their loved ones, the president said.

President Tinubu said he has been giving arms to people in Burdillon for the past twenty (20) years and nothing of such has happened. If you know that you dont have enough for the people don’t gather crowd.

it is very sad that it turned out that way but we will continue to learn from our mistakes but to me, I see it as a grave error.

Details later….
