Dear Distinguished Leader,
I hope this finds you well?
I am writing to you to urge you to accept the call of millions of members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to assume the chairmanship of our great party. I believe that you are the best person to lead our party at this critical time in our nation’s history.
Your antecedents and leadership qualities are well-known. As Governor of Kwara State, you demonstrated commitment to good governance and the welfare of the people, your legacies are still unmatched almost thirteen years after you exited office. As Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, you showed your ability to build consensus and work with other Governors which culminated to high acceptance by Nigerians towards the position of the Forum.
Furthermore, as Chairman of the PDP Reconciliation and Strategy Committee, you helped to unite our party across the country after a difficult period, especially in Niger, Ogun, and Osun states.
Sir, while you held sway as President of the Nigeria Senate, you demonstrated patriotism, commitment to democracy and the rule of law even in the most difficult period of your personal and politifal life. Your antecedents have remained a standard to Nigerians.
In view of these, I am confident that you have the experience, the vision, and the leadership skills to lead the PDP to reposition it, rejuvenate confidence of among members and reposition it to victory in the 2027 general elections.
I urge you to accept the Chairmanship and to help us build a better future for Nigeria and Nigerians.
Finally sir, as we celebrate this holy month of Ramadan, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to you and your family. May the blessings of the season fill your heart with peace and joy. Amen!
