MOSCOW – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian have maintained close contact since the outbreak of the U.S.-Israeli conflict involving Iran.
Iran’s Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, on Friday said the two leaders have held three telephone conversations since Feb. 28.
Jalali noted that both presidents enjoy strong relations, adding that the foreign ministers of the two countries also maintain close cooperation.
He said that during their most recent call on April 12, Russia expressed readiness to facilitate efforts aimed at resolving the conflict and achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.
Jalali commended Russia’s position, describing it as a reflection of the stable and deep relations between both countries. (Xinhua/NAN)
