Presenting the material on Monday in Sokoto, Siriddawa, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said the gesture was in the spirit of kindness to fellow humans as exemplified by the spirit of Ramadan.

He said the materials were distributed to women, elderly and children as well as physically challenged among other vulnerable groups.

The textile materials comprised of bails of guinea brocade, lace and wrappers.

He said that the gesture was to show kindness and take care of the welfare of the less privileged people in the society, “especially during Ramadan and Sallah festivities’’.
