Rumours began circulating over the weekend after a video emerged online showing Regina at Nwoko’s home.

The footage sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users praising the actress and others criticising her, particularly among those who had supported her during the couple’s highly publicised separation.

Amid the growing backlash and speculation, Rita clarified the situation in a private Instagram conversation with self-proclaimed actor Uche Maduagwu.

In the chat, later shared by Maduagwu on his page, she stated that her daughter’s presence at the senator’s residence was strictly to see her children.

“It is well, my dear. She was invited to see her children. That was what happened. Thanks a lot for your support and concern,” she said.

The estranged couple’s private strife erupted into public view in October 2025 when a viral video depicted the Nollywood star in tears, alleging domestic violence.

Nwoko fired back, claiming the actress was struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.

Regina later admitted to using hard drugs but accused Nwoko of orchestrating her addiction as a method of control and manipulation.

Nwoko, senator representing Delta north, had stated that Regina must undergo rehabilitation to address drug abuse and safeguard her well-being.

The lawmaker stated that the decision was necessary for the actress to be in the right state of mind to raise their two children.

In January, Daniels shared video footage from an unnamed hospital, showing her undergoing the test and later collecting the results.
