ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  ‘   The Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, has underscored the importance of regulatory certainty in reducing investment risks and strengthening resilience across Nigeria’s economic sectors.

Eyesan made the remarks while participating in the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Lagos Office’s 10th anniversary celebration, an exclusive gathering that brought together 100 prominent leaders from diverse sectors of the economy to discuss strategies for unlocking growth and building resilience in an increasingly complex global environment.

In a report released Sunday on the official X handle of NUPRC @NUPRCOfficial, the Commission said as part  of the anniversary activities, the NUPRC chief joined other industry leaders on a panel session titled, “Growing Nigeria in a Fracturing World,” where discussions focused on the challenges and opportunities facing the country’s growth trajectory amid global economic and geopolitical uncertainties.

During the session, Eyesan emphasized that a predictable and stable regulatory environment remains critical to attracting investment, particularly at a time when global capital is becoming more expensive and investors are paying closer attention to risk.

She noted that creating the right conditions for investment, efficient project execution, and long-term resilience would be essential to advancing Nigeria’s growth agenda and sustaining economic development.
According to her, effective regulation plays a vital role not only in mitigating investment risks but also in building sector-wide resilience capable of withstanding external shocks and market volatility.

The BCG Lagos anniversary event convened leaders from business, government, and other strategic sectors to explore practical pathways for scaling growth, developing talent, and strengthening leadership in Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape.

Eyesan’s participation highlights the growing recognition of the regulatory sector’s role in fostering investor confidence and supporting sustainable economic transformation.
