Abuja (PRECISE POST) – The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the formal inauguration of its National Convention Zoning Committee (NCZC) as part of preparations for the party’s 2025 Elective National Convention.
According to an official statement released on Webnesday issued by the National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Umar M. Bature, the inauguration ceremony is scheduled to hold on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the National Executive Committee (NEC) Hall, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, by 12 noon.
The party has extended invitations to all its Governors, members of the Board of Trustees (BOT), National Working Committee (NWC), National Executive Committee (NEC), serving and former members of the National Assembly, as well as other key stakeholders.
“This event marks the beginning of a critical journey as we work together to restore our nation,” Bature stated, calling on all invited members to attend and actively participate in the process.
The inauguration of the zoning committee is a significant step toward determining how key party positions and potentially the presidential ticket will be distributed across Nigeria’s geo-political zones, a crucial factor in shaping the PDP’s strategy for the 2027 general elections.
