ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – President Bola Tinubu has formally requested the Senate to confirm the appointments of Prof. Melvin Ayogu to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Board of Directors and Mr. Nwakuche Ndidi as the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
This was contained in a statement released on the X account of the Special Adviser Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The requests were submitted through letters to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, which were read out during the Senate’s plenary session on Tuesday.
This move paves the way for the Senate to review and approve these appointments, ensuring the continued stability and growth of Nigeria’s financial and correctional systems.
