LAGOS (PRECISE POST) – President Bola Tinubu returned to Abuja on Monday, October 6, after a whirlwind 10-day working visit that spanned high-profile meetings, state visits, and cultural engagements across Nigeria.
Precise Post recalls that touching down in Lagos on Friday, September 26, fresh from attending the historic coronation of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, President Tinubu wasted no time diving into critical national duties.
According to the statement released on the his X handle by the Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), Bayo Onanuga, during his stay in Nigeria’s commercial capital, the President met with key global investors including Bayo Ogunlesi, CEO of Global Infrastructure Partners, and Keem Belo-Osagie, Chairman of Metis Capital Partners, in a bid to deepen economic partnerships and attract fresh investments.
A key highlight of the trip was Tinubu’s strategic meeting with the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Mr Arsenio Dominguez. Joined by Marine and Blue Economy Minister Adegboyega Oyetola and top agency heads, Tinubu emphasized his commitment to transforming Nigeria’s maritime industry into a robust alternative to fossil fuel revenues.
As the nation prepared to mark 65 years of independence, Tinubu travelled to Imo State where he commissioned key infrastructure projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma. He also unveiled a commemorative book detailing a decade of APC governance, reinforcing his party’s policy legacy.
The President addressed the nation from the historic State House at Dodan Barracks on Independence Day, urging unity and optimism. Later, he inaugurated the newly renovated National Theatre — now the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts — calling on citizens to “speak positively” about Nigeria.
Capping off the packed itinerary, President Tinubu headed north to Jos, Plateau State, to pay his respects at the burial of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of APC chairman Professor Nantawe Yilwatda. At the solemn ceremony, Tinubu reassured Christian communities of his administration’s dedication to religious fairness and inclusion.
With his return to Abuja, President Tinubu resumes duties at the Villa after a high-impact tour reflecting both governance in motion and a renewed drive for national development.
