Lawan stated this in a speech delivered on Thursday to declare open an investigative public hearing by the Senate Ad-Hoc Committee on the Investigation of the Alleged Financial Recklessness in the Niger Delta Development Commission. Trouble As Old Woman Strangles Her 83-Year-Old Husband

Abuja(Precise Post)- The Abia police command has arrested one Mrs Rose Uwaga for allegedly strangling her 83-year-old husband, Alhaji Isa Uwaga, in Umuahia, the state capital. Police spokesman Geoffrey Ogbonnaya confirmed the arrest of the woman, who was said to be in her early 70s, to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Umuahia on Wednesday. Ogbonnaya said that one of Uwaga’s children, Ibeabuchi, reported the matter to the police on July 2. He said that the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for proper investigation. He also said that the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the morgue “for possible autopsy in order to ascertain what actually killed the man”. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has denied receiving N4bn from the suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu. The Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, on Wednesday, said there was no truth in some reports claiming that Magu told the presidential panel probing him that he gave Osinbajo N4bn after the vice president asked him to release part of the recovered loot. COVID-19:Amid Low Patronage, Four Airlines Resume Operations

Chinelo Obogo Abuja (Precise Post)- Four domestic airlines resumed operations at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (2), Lagos and the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) Wednesday, June 8 amidst low passenger patronage.
