ABUJA ( PRECISE POST) – On the occasion of the International Day for People of African Descent (IDPAD), the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres is paying tribute to the remarkable contributions of people of African descent in shaping societies worldwide.
According to the UN Scribe who took to his X handle to highlight the impact of the people of African Descent, the day also serves as a solemn reminder of the persistent injustices and systemic discrimination that communities of African descent continue to endure.
In a collective call to action, Guterres emphasized the urgent need to advance justice, uphold human dignity, and promote equality for people of African descent across the globe.
