Benin City – (Precise Post) – Embattled Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki on Tuesday resigned from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also announced his resignation as a card carrying member APC.
Obaseki while announcing his resignation from APC said that he will in days to come announce the new political platform where he will be seeking his re-election.
He also debunked allegations that his credentials were not original. This is coming after the governor was disqualified by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) from recontesting in the governorship election. Days before his disqualification, there was confusion about the genuineness of Obaseki’s university certificate, until the University of Ibadan came out to confirm that he studied classics in the school and graduated in 1979 with a Second Class Honours, Lower Division.
Precise Post recalls that the Edo state governor has been having serious battle with his former political godfather and the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
