2027 Election: Pastor Ebuka Obi Releases Prophecy of “Dark Weather” as Viral Video Sparks Debate Lagos, Nigeria — July 26, 2025

Renowned Lagos-based preacher Pastor Ebuka Obi, known for his controversial spiritual insights, has issued a chilling prophecy ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general election, warning of impending chaos, political tension, and what he described as a “dark weather” looming over the nation.

In a now-viral video circulating across social media, the cleric called for divine intervention, stating that influential political actors are preparing for what he called a “do-or-die” election cycle. The prophecy comes amid rising political friction between incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and other 2027 hopefuls.

“May the Lord intervene in the case of Nigeria. There are powerful forces cooking things behind the scenes. Some believe 2027 is a must-win at all costs. There will come a time people will begin to run helter-skelter in this country,” Pastor Obi said in the video.

He added:

“We [preachers and elites] can fly out if things go wrong. But what about the average Nigerian without a visa? May God intervene in this dark weather that is approaching.”

More Prophets Weigh In: Bright the Seer and Primate Ayodele Echo Warnings

The prophecy from Pastor Obi isn’t isolated. Another spiritual figure, Bright Ndibunwa—popularly known as Bright The Seer—also released a warning, stating that if Nigeria isn’t careful, the “anointed” winner of the 2027 election could become elusive or face resistance.

“There are broken covenants, unfulfilled promises, and spiritual unrest. If care isn’t taken, Nigeria may not find its destined leader in 2027,” she declared.

Primate Elijah Ayodele Predicts ADC Collapse, Slams Churches Over National Crisis

Meanwhile, Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has prophesied that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will collapse before the 2027 elections unless it undertakes “drastic physical, spiritual, and strategic reforms.”

Speaking at the launch of his annual prophecy book, Warnings to the Nations, Ayodele didn’t mince words about Nigeria’s worsening social and economic conditions. He attributed some of the country’s woes to the Christian church itself.

“Why is Nigeria suffering today? Churches are part of the problem. Many refuse to speak the truth. There’s no unity in Christendom, and that’s why there’s chaos in the nation,” Ayodele stated.

Security Alert: October Tension, Rising Insecurity, and Warnings to President Tinubu

Primate Ayodele also issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to act swiftly on issues of economic hardship and insecurity, or risk political destabilization. He claimed that some insiders within the military and even Aso Rock Villa are contributing to national insecurity.

“From October, insecurity will escalate. Tinubu must act decisively to lower food prices—especially rice, garri, and essentials—or he will face serious unrest. Bombings may become a tactic used to destabilize his administration.”

He further cautioned the President against flawed political appointments and warned of opposition strategies designed to undermine his re-election prospects.

Pastor Obi Reveals Spiritual Discipline Behind His Prophetic Gifts

In a related development, a separate video showed Pastor Ebuka Obi sleeping on a bed of rocks, which he claims is part of his spiritual discipline. The footage, posted by @okwudirichii on TikTok, sparked curiosity and conversation among followers, with some linking the practice to the intensity of his revelations.

Nigeria’s Uncertain Road to 2027

With just under two years until Nigeria’s next presidential election, the prophetic warnings from multiple spiritual leaders have added a new layer of concern to an already tense political atmosphere. As economic struggles persist and public trust erodes, Nigerians are watching closely—both the ballot box and the pulpit.
