The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the generation of profile codes for candidates intending to sit for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
JAMB announced that the process has been activated ahead of the official registration to ensure a smooth exercise and eliminate possible bottlenecks when registration begins later this month.
Prospective candidates are advised to generate and safely keep their profile codes, as they will be required during the UTME registration process.
The examination body also cautioned candidates to promptly correct any errors in their National Identification Number (NIN) records—including names, date of birth, or other personal details—before registration starts. According to JAMB, all personal data used for UTME registration are sourced directly from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) database.
Candidates can find detailed instructions on how to generate their profile code via the official guide on JAMB Profile Code Generation for the 2026 UTME Registration.
