ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has celebrated its workforce, including drivers, medical personnel, soldiers, secretaries and organised labour, for their contributions to the Commission’s achievements in its five years of existence.
The Commission highlighted the contributions of the workers in the latest edition of its in-house magazine, The Upstream Gaze, released as a special publication to commemorate its fifth anniversary.
In a statement posted on its official handle on Friday, the NUPRC said the anniversary edition departed from previous publications by featuring photographs of some of the people behind its successes on the front cover.
According to the Commission, the initiative was designed to recognise not only top management staff responsible for steering its affairs but also other workers whose contributions often go unnoticed.
It listed photographers who work behind the scenes, drivers who ensure timely arrival at official assignments, organised labour representatives who defend workers’ rights, and medical personnel who provide healthcare services to staff among those celebrated.
The Commission also acknowledged soldiers deployed to terminals and offshore facilities, noting that they work for weeks away from their loved ones to ensure uninterrupted oil production.
Office secretaries and other personnel whose duties help maintain smooth administrative operations were equally recognised for their contributions.
The NUPRC reaffirmed that its institutional values remain the same regardless of employees’ positions within the organisation.
“At the NUPRC, regardless of the position you hold, our values remain the same: Professionalism, Responsiveness, Ownership, Integrity. You are all appreciated,” the Commission stated.
The anniversary publication underscores the Commission’s recognition of the collective efforts of its workforce in supporting its operations and sustaining activities in Nigeria’s upstream petroleum sector.
