Abuja (Precise Post) – Chairman Senate Committee on Army, Senator Ali Ndume has said that the army budget of N27billion is grossly inadequate.
He stated this on Wednesday during budget defence by the military.
Senator Ndume said a budget of N13trillion in a state of war, allocating only N27billion in a non-start state.
The sentator representing Borno South informed that the committee has visited one of the military formations – 8th division in Sokoto and we will pay similar visits to other formations across the country.
He called on the army to clearly explain to them what they have done and what needs to be done to enable the senate know how to help them make and defend their case from the point of knowledge.
