Abuja (Precise Post) – Nigeria on Wednesday confirmed 236 new cases of #COVID-19, bringing the total confirmed cases to 65,693, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has said.
This is also as the health agency has reported that 61,457 patients have been discharged from across the various isolation centres in the country since the index case was reported on 27th February, 2020.
The report released by the NCDC via it’s twitter handle account said that 1,163 lives have so far been lost to COVID-19 related complications.
According to the health agency, out of the 236 new cases recorded from 14 states including the FCT, Lagos State accounted for 142 cases, followed by Ogun with 19 infections while Kaduna came third with 15 cases.
Others are: FCT, Imo and Rivers-14 each; Plateau-6; Katsina-3; Ekiti, Jigawa and Oyo-2 byeach while Cross River, Kano and Taraba recorded 1infection each.
