Abdulrasheed Maina, the Pension Task Team boss who Jumped Bail Nabbed in Niger Republic

Abuja (Precise Post) – Abdulrasheed Maina, the Pension Reform Task Team boss who jumped bail has been arrested.

Reports reaching us say fleeing former chairman of the PRTT was arrested on Monday, November 30 at night by operatives of intelligence service in a collaboration with men of anti-corruption agency in Nigeria in a town in the Niger Republic.

Reports indicate that a top intelligence officer said the arrest was made possible by an existing mutual relationship and security agreement between the two neighbouring countries.

Maina currently faces a 12-count money laundering charge levelled against him and a firm by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).which alleges that Maina, as chairman of the defunct PRTT, used the account of the firm for money laundering to the tune of about N2 billion, part of which he used to acquire landed properties in Abuja.

Precise Post recalls that the court on Friday, November 27, granted bail to Senator Ali Ndume, who was on Monday last week remanded in Kuje prison over his sureteeship for Maina.
