Abuja #EndSARS: Fear Grips Residents as Protest Mounts

Abuja (Precise Post) – The #Endsars protests that have greeted the nation, may be fast taking a different dimension with attacks reported on Igbo traders by local residents who are against the #Endsars campaign.

On Monday three demonstrators were killed in Apo Abuja, when hoodlums seeking to take stop protesters from carrying on their peaceful processions, while over twenty persons were injured.

Cars parked in an open-air car shop were also destroyed as hoodlums torched luxury cars worth over twenty five million naira. Images of the car dealer drew the pity and anger of nigerians as the car dealer was shown on African Independent Television crying that his life has been shattered.

Mondays action by hoodlums was the climax after the hoodlums attempted to block, Gudu and GTB junction in the areas of Apo and Durumi but were resisted by angry car owners who were scurrying to avoid any kind of disaster.

But events took a different turn on Monday and Tuesday, as the hoodlums capitalized on the absence of policemen to unleash mayhem in the area, which resulted in the killing of three protesters, while cars were destroyed.

At the time of compiling this report, information has it that angry  youths have blocked the sokale area in Dutse alahaji and vehicles coming from Kubwa into the area and down town Dutse Makaranta cannot access the Capital city.

With the new turn of events there is palpable fear that the crisis might assume an ethnic dimension, as the primary targets has been businesses that are hitherto dominated by Nigerians from the South east extraction.

The protesters have been having a face-off with soldiers who have been shooting into the air to deter them.

Also protesters have barricaded the road in Sokale Bus-stop around Dutse Alhaji, bordering the Kubwa -Zuba Expressway.The protesters are having a faceoff with soldiers, who are shooting to scare them off
