Former heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, was involved in a serious road accident early Monday morning, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near Makun, Ogun state.
The crash resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
According to eyewitnesses, Joshua’s vehicle, a Lexus Jeep with the license plate KRD 850 HN, collided with a stationary truck.
Preliminary investigation reports that the two fatalities occurred at the scene.
Joshua was rescued from the wreckage and sustained only minor injuries, as confirmed by rescue officials who responded to the incident.
Efforts to obtain further official details from TRACE Commandant, Akinbiyi Babatunde, were unsuccessful at this time of filing this report.
