ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has commissioned the newly constructed and fully furnished Prof. Fidelis Ogah Senior Staff Quarters at the University of ICT, Oferekpe Agbaja, in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Governor Francis Nwifuru who disclosed this on Tuesday on his X handle, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure and transforming Ebonyi into a hub for technology and innovation.
The event was attended by prominent political leaders, including Hope Uzodimma, who also serves as Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, former Ebonyi State governor and Minister of Works, David Nweze Umahi, and former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim.
According to Nwifuru, the state-of-the-art accommodation facility was built by his administration to improve the welfare of senior academic staff and enhance the university’s capacity to deliver excellence in teaching, research, and innovation.
He noted that the completion of the project reflects the government’s determination to create a conducive learning environment and strengthen institutions capable of driving technological advancement and human capital development in the state.
The governor said the investment aligns with his administration’s broader vision of positioning Ebonyi as a leading destination for education, innovation, and digital transformation.
Nwifuru expressed appreciation to the APC National Chairman for performing the commissioning ceremony and commended Uzodimma for his support and solidarity, describing their presence as a demonstration of the collective commitment of progressive leaders to sustainable development and impactful governance.
He reiterated that his administration would continue to prioritise projects that improve the lives of citizens, strengthen public institutions, and secure a brighter future for the people of Ebonyi State.
