Bayelsa United head coach Meremu Okara admitted that his substitutions did not yield the desired result in the match with Plateau United.
The Prosperity Boys secured a 3-2 win over Plateau United in a keenly contested encounter at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
Plateau United rallied to score two goals in the second half after Bayelsa United netted three times in the first half.
Okara assured that his team will work on the lapses noticed in subsequent matches.
“We started well but towards the end of the game we couldn’t measure up with our opponent,” he stated.
“The pressure was much and they scored two goals, we are going to work on that lapses.
“The tempo was high as all the changes made didn’t meet up with the expectations of the game which caused the pressure.
“The changes didn’t yield a positive result for us.”
