Be patient on path to success’-Bishop Abioye to youths

OGUN- The Pro-Chancellor of Covenant University, Bishop David Abioye has advised Nigerian youth to be patient and not rush in their pursuit of destiny.

Abioye gave this advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Ota, Ogun state.

He likened patience to following the correct road to one’s destiny, noting that observing ‘road signs’ along the way is essential to success.

According to him, a road without signs is dangerous to travel.

Abioye said that many accidents today result from impatience and worry, which can lead to missteps and missed opportunities.

He emphasised that patience is a key ‘road sign’ for a successful journey, making the road both wider and smoother.

“Patience involves more than just waiting; it means respecting the process and exercising caution. As scripture says in Hebrews 10:36, patience is a necessity,” he added.

He expressed concern that patience is often missing from young people’s vocabulary, leading some to join gangs, engage in scams, and pursue shortcuts to wealth.

Abioye urged the youth to be cautious, disciplined, and seek God’s guidance, as only through Him can they truly fulfill their destinies. (NAN)
