ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –   The National Democratic Coalition (NDC) has intensified its nationwide political engagements, welcoming new entrants from rival parties while strengthening its internal structures ahead of future elections.
In a series of high-level meetings, the party leadership convened with its National Vice Chairmen and members of the National Working Committee to assess progress and reinforce organizational capacity across the country.

According to the statement released on the official X handle of the party, a major highlight of the engagements was the reception of Pastor Dr. (Mrs.) Adedayo Ekong, a former Lagos State Chairman of the Labour Party, signaling growing cross-party interest in the NDC.
The party also hosted a delegation of leaders from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the North East, directing them to begin harmonization with existing party structures in a move aimed at building a stronger regional base.
In Delta State, a large group of Local Government Chairmen and Caretaker Committee members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) formally aligned with the NDC. Party officials confirmed that steps are underway to fully integrate the defectors into its state framework.
Beyond political realignments, the NDC reiterated its commitment to inclusivity, placing special emphasis on increasing women’s participation. The party said it is actively promoting female involvement in leadership and encouraging women to contest elective offices under its platform. It also noted rising interest from young Nigerians eager to play a role in reshaping the country’s political landscape.
The outreach extended beyond Nigeria’s borders, as the party received Comrade Barile Ngobu of its U.S. chapter, commending diaspora members for mobilizing international support.
Meanwhile, in Kogi State, party stakeholders reaffirmed their backing for the NDC and for House of Representatives aspirant Pharm. Emmanuel Adejo Amodu, underscoring growing grassroots support.
Positioning itself as a broad-based opposition force, the NDC called on Nigerians to join its movement, participate actively in party activities, and help prevent the emergence of a one-party state.
With defections mounting and structures expanding, the party says it is focused on building what it describes as a “strong, formidable, and inclusive political platform” capable of transforming Nigeria’s political culture.
