Osogbo (Precise Post) – Osun State House of Assembly Minority Leader, Honourable Kofoworola Adewunmi Babajide has congratulated muslims faithful as they join other muslim all over the world to celebrate eid-el-Maulud.
The Minority Leader called on Osun people, particularly, constituents, to as always, engage in activities that will foster peace and progress of the state.
He made the call in a statement he personally signed and made available to Precise Post.
The statement reads:
I congratulate Muslim faithfuls across the globe on the occasion of the celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
As Muslims, Eidul-Mawlid is an important opportunity to celebrate the special gift that Allah bestowed on Mankind, and I charge Muslims to use the occasion to foster peace and unity in their immediate environments.
I enjoins you to take seriously the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), and specifically, what the Holy Quran says in Chapter 4 Verse 59 that “O you who believe! Obey God and obey the Messenger, and those from among you who are vested with authority; and if you are to dispute among yourselves about anything, refer it to God and the Messenger, if indeed you believe in God and the Last Day. This is the best (for you), and fairest in the end.”
This is indeed a trying time for our country, but it is just a phase which I have no doubt we will overcome with the divine intervention of Allah and I ask that you use the period of Eidul-Mawlid Nabiy to seek His face for peace and progress of our state and Nigeria as a whole.
I join Governor Gboyega Oyetola to call on Osun people, particularly, constituents, to as always, engage in activities that will foster peace and progress of the state.
Happy Eidul-Mawlid Nabiy celebration and may the blessings of Almighty Allah continue to radiates in our lives and homes.
Signed:
Honourable Kofoworola Adewunmi Babajide,
Minority Leader, Osun House of Assembly
