Nairobi – Ethiopian Airlines say its operating revenue in dollar terms has increased by 17 per cent in the year to the end of June.
The carrier told Reuters on Friday in Nairobi that the increase was due to a rise in passenger numbers, which helped to offset the impact of a surge in fuel costs.
The airline, which is Africa’s biggest, flew 12.1 million passengers during the period, up 14 per cent, helping to cushion an increase in fuel costs of about a quarter.
