ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has commenced engagement with airport car hire operators ahead of the launch of its new Airport Car Hire Rank Management System (ACHRAMS), a technology-driven initiative aimed at enhancing efficiency, boosting revenue generation, and improving passenger experience across the nation’s airports.
Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting with car hire operators, FAAN’s Director of Commercial and Business Development, Mrs. Joy Agunbiade, disclosed that the Authority had finalized preparations for the rollout of the system, which is scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2026.
She explained that training and sensitisation programmes for all stakeholders are currently underway and would be concluded before the end of June to ensure a smooth transition to the new operational framework.
According to Agunbiade, ACHRAMS is designed to streamline airport car hire services by improving operational efficiency, reducing congestion and loitering around airport arrival terminals, and enabling passengers to access transportation services more quickly and conveniently.
The FAAN official urged all registered car hire operators to complete their registration and application procedures ahead of the implementation deadline, stressing the importance of cooperation from stakeholders to guarantee the successful deployment of the system.
She noted that the initiative forms part of FAAN’s broader strategy to modernise airport operations through innovative digital solutions that enhance service delivery and strengthen operational management.
FAAN reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging technology to improve airport services nationwide, saying the new system would contribute significantly to creating a more organized, secure, and passenger-friendly environment at Nigerian airports.
