ABUJA (Precise Post) – The Federal Government through the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology has officially launched the Innovations in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Policy (iSTEP) Programme, in a bid to equip the Nigerian youth with the tools, training, and certifications necessary to drive innovation across the country.
This is a major step toward empowering youth-driven innovation and fostering Nigeria’s economic transformation, the statement released on the X account of National Orientation Agency has said.
According to the statement, the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, explained that the programme would train and certify 10,000 innovators in 200 local government areas over the next two years.
He further noted that the programme’s objectives align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on driving job creation, economic diversification, and inclusive development.
