YOLA- Adamawa House of Assembly on Tuesday received the names of Justice Danladi Mohammed, Barrister Hassan Mai-Dawa and Mrs Mary Karzai as members of the State Judicial Service Commission.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the names of the nominees were read at the plenary by the House Speaker, Mr Bathiya Wesley, in a letter sent by Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri.
After deliberations, Wesley referred the letter to the House Standing Committee on Judiciary to invite the nominees for scrutiny and report back to the house for further legislative action.
Also at the Tuesday plenary, the house passed a motion sponsored by the Deputy Speaker, Muhammad Jijjiwa, calling on the state government to intervene on the dilapidated Jada- Kojoli road in Jada Local Government Area.
According to Jijiwa, the intervention works will ameliorate the sufferings of commuters on the road.
The house has adjourned to Aug.11.(NAN)
