ABUJA – Enforcers of Good Governance (EGG), a socio-political pressure group based in Rivers, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his recent intervention in the political crisis that rocked the state.

The convener of the group, Dr Kingsley Ogu, made this known in a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja.

He noted the President’s action as timely and decisive, noting that it ushered in a new dawn of peace and progress for Rivers.

“The intervention by President Tinubu has not only brought an end to the crisis but also restored stability and hope for inclusive governance,” he said.

Ogu also commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, for playing a “fatherly role” in ensuring a peaceful resolution to the impasse.

He lauded Gov. Siminalayi Fubara for his courage, resilience, and commitment to placing the interests of the people of Rivers above all else.

The group further praised the Speaker of the State House of Assembly and other lawmakers for embracing peace and supporting the return to normalcy.

“With the crisis now over, Rivers State is poised for development, unity, and inclusive governance,” Ogu said.

He urged all citizens and stakeholders to continue to uphold peace, dialogue, and collective responsibility in the interest of the state. (NAN)
